always do when we're in parade form. Crystal and Scooter (our friend Bill
Greer's adorable young quarter horse) even wore Christmas bows on their saddles
and in their manes. Surf on over to our PHOTOGRAPHS page to see pictures! TAKING THE SHOW ON THE ROADIt's going to be

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSWe receive many e-mails every
week asking us questions about the ride. It is impossible to answer every
one of these requests personally. So we've made a website FAQ (Frequently
Asked Questions). Feel free to continue to e-mail us (eyereckonride@aol.com) with new
questions and we will attempt to post them on the site. You'll find all
the answers you seek, right here. NEW PHOTOGRAPHSPhotographs have been a large part of telling the story of the EYE RECKON FREEDOM RIDE. We've displayed many photos on this site on our photographs page. We will continue to add photos to the page, but we've taken some down. You see, the book, RIDERS ON THE STORM, while not a picture book, does contain many photos of the ride. 93 to be exact. We will give samples of some of these photos on the site, but to see them all, you'll need to purchase the book to view them as they were meant to be viewed, with the story of the EYE RECKON FREEDOM RIDE. However, for your viewing pleasure today, we've got the FULL COVER of RIDERS ON THE STORM. The full color promo version that appears on the front of the website is going to be used for ads and post cards which will soon be available for sale on this site. The Blue and Black duotone version is the one that will appear on the cover of the actual book that you can buy, also on this website. Check it out and enjoy RIGHT HERE! 75 KIDS, A MULE AND LOTS OF HEATNow, we all know none of you are "waffling" on your decision to pick up a copy of the book (or perhaps, SEVERAL, copies of the book), but just in case there are a few of you wondering what's in store for you in RIDERS ON THE STORM, here's a sample chapter from the book that shares the laughter, the tears, and the adventure that is RIDERS ON THE STORM. Also, don't' forget our original sample chapter located HERE. RIDERS ON THE STORM!Well folks, the wait is nearly over. Scheduled for print by the end of this month, soon you will be able to own your own copy of Mary Allyce's RIDERS ON THE STORM: THE TRUE STORY OF THE EYE RECKON FREEDOM RIDE. Check back SOON to find out how to purchase the book through this website and own your very own copy of RIDERS ON THE STORM. ERFR UPDATESThe ERFR, under the direction of Hoot Gibson, has stayed busy and visible over the last year and a half since the historic ride to Canada. In addition to our return to Stampede in 2005, Hoot Gibson, Mary Schenk, and others have joined in support of other trail rides and pony express re-enactments, staying visible and active as the book was produced. They also are a highly visible presence in Bandera parades, the most recent of which was the Veteran's Day parade on November 12th, 2005. Their next appearance will be in the Christmas Parade in Bandera in the beginning of December. Check back soon for more about our organization. WELCOME BACK!Ok, so we
haven't updated the site in awhile. But we've got several GREAT excuses
here for you today. First of all, you can read above about the release of
the Eye Reckon book, RIDERS ON THE STORM. And if that's not enough, we've
even got another sample chapter, for FREE! We've added photographs to our
photo page including a full cover version of the book cover (included on the
front page of the site now) as well as the "duotone" blue and black version of
the cover that will be on the actual book. Also, for those of you with
questions about the ride, we've added an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) to
help answer everything you want to know. So take a look around the site,
