REVIEWS

Riders On The Storm was the collaboration of a small number of individuals.  The book represents a journey of epic proportions: both the journey to Canada and the journey to completing the book.  However, all the work that went into the ride and into the book is worth it when we read the wonderful things people are saying about the book.  Here are a few of the reviews, well wishes, and sentiments folks have written us.

"The book was one of those you can't lay down.  Enjoyed every page."
                James L. Strong
              (Bandera, Texas)

"It was a wonderful read, and extremely well written for our imagination, we were with you every step of the way."
            Peter and Janet Foote
                 (England)

"Humorous, poignant, exciting, suspenseful, beautiful, stirring . . .  it’s all here!"
               Jean Maxton
             (Houston, Texas)

"I think my tear ducts are too close to my heart . . .  so proud to be part of this . . ."
            Jim and Louise Bell
           ( Canada - author of
         “A Modern Day Cowboy",
           reprinted in the book)

"You write about horses so fluently that even a non-horseperson begins to fall in love with them."
            Jeanette Caspari
        (West Allis, Wisconsin)

"I laughed and laughed and then I cried.  Took me eight hours, but I couldn’t put it down.  I read every word."
              George Reilly
           (Bandera, Texas)

"I think you did a great job of presenting a very long, sometimes trying journey with humor, heartfelt feelings and a challenge to all of us to never give up on a dream."
            Mary Andrews
        (Seattle, Washington)

“I loved your book . . . Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down.”
            Kathy Hatch
              (Texas)

"I finished reading . . . couldn't stop until I finished all of it.  I never expected you to live for several months without all the things we consider so important in our daily life.  It proves that hard work and a little luck make dreams come true."
            Jean Schenk
             (Florida)

I'm loving the book!!! What an undertaking! Your writing style is very easy to read - pretty much the way you talk.  In fact, it's kinda like having a one-way conversation with you -- very familiar.
            Jane Wagner
    (Wauwatosa, Wisconsin)

I enjoyed the story very much and was sorry to see it end.  I still think about it and wonder how the "characters" are doing, as if it was a continuing story.  That is when I know I really liked the book -  when I am still thinking about the people and the struggle, etc.,  long after I have finished reading it, and missing the characters that make up the story.  I guess I didn't realize how big the undertaking was and what all was involved . . .
        Judy Bryan
  (Denton, Texas)
